«St. Mark» shows the apostle and evangelist with a scroll and stylus — the only image in the batch where the saint is shown at work.

What the picture shows

The apostle stands half-turned. His hair and beard are grey and curly. A red himation falls over his shoulders in folds, with a pale orange tunic and fine gold edging beneath. His left hand holds an open white scroll, his right a stylus raised to the text. The halo is wide and golden, with a beaded ornamental arch and name plaque above. Face, beard and hands remain printed on the canvas; the scroll and the light embossed ground also stay printed — the beading is not solid.
