“St. Igor” is a grand prince in a red crown, with one hand laid on his chest.

What the picture shows

A male figure to the waist: fair hair, a short red beard, a level gaze. A red crown with gold points and a pearl rim sits on his head. His kaftan is densely covered with a green-and-blue jewelled pattern, and over it lies a heavy dark red cloak scrolled in gold and clasped at the shoulder. His right hand is pressed to his chest, his left holds the edge of the cloak. The halo is gold, the ground cream with an embossed scroll and beaded fans above. The beads fill the cloak, the kaftan, the crown and the halo, while the face, the hands and the ground stay printed on the canvas.
