«St Cyrus» (on the icon: St Cyra of Beroea) shows the woman ascetic with raised palms; deep red and a blue headcloth make the darkest palette among the female images in the series.

What the picture shows

The saint stands frontally, both palms open at chest height. A blue cloth with a fine light pattern covers her head; over it a dense red mantle falls in heavy vertical folds, a green gown showing beneath. The halo is wide and golden, with a beaded ornamental arch and the name cartouche above. The composition rests on three fields of colour: blue, red, green. Face and hands remain printed on the canvas, as does the cream embossed ground — the beading is not solid.
