“St. Arseny” is a bishop in a blue klobuk, holding an episcopal staff.

What the picture shows

The figure is shown to the waist, the face aged, the beard white and rounded. A blue klobuk with a small gold cross at the front sits on his head. A white omophorion with dark crosses is laid over his shoulders, with a white-grey sakkos beneath and a lilac-grey mantle over everything. A round panagia in a gold mount hangs at his chest, with a red ribbon below it. In his left hand he holds a staff with a curved head; his right is raised in blessing. The halo is gold, the ground cream with an embossed scroll. The beads fill the klobuk, the omophorion, the sakkos, the mantle, the panagia and the halo, while the face, the hands and the ground stay printed on the canvas.
