Cross Stitch Postcard Kit "Invitation"
Description
“Invitation” places two wedding rings and a spray of roses on white canvas. A small motif meant for a wedding invitation or a card for the couple.
What the picture shows
The design fills a small square in the centre of the canvas and is split along the diagonal. Two interlocking rings sit in the upper left, stitched as outlines in a warm ochre-gold and left hollow inside, which keeps them light. A branch of four pink roses curves across the lower right, each rose worked as a dense little coil that runs from deeper pink at the heart to a paler shade at the rim. Small yellow-green leaves on fine stems are scattered between them. The rest of the white Aida is left unstitched, and that empty ground is what gives the motif its air. Four floss colours are all the kit needs, so it goes quickly even without experience.
