Description

“Christmas gifts” shows two wrapped parcels with a sprig of holly on top. A quiet Christmas motif with no lettering at all.

What the picture shows

The composition is built from two boxes. On the left stands a tall lilac-purple parcel tied with a wide yellow ribbon that runs both up and across; the purple is worked in two shades, so the side and the lid read separately. To the right and slightly in front sits a lower yellow box with a large red bow whose loops spill past its edges. A sprig of holly lies on the lid of the left parcel: dark green leaves with sharp points and three red berries with white highlights. The rest of the white Aida is left unstitched, so the parcels look as though they had been set down on a clean table. Five floss colours.
