“Winter is calling” is a restrained winter motif with fir branches and a little house.
What the picture shows
The design is built like a small sampler: a red band of tiny stitches at the top, green fir branches spreading beneath it, and in the centre a frame holding a fir tree and a house. Another narrow red band and the stitched word “WINTER” run below. There are only five colours and the lines are crisp, so the motif looks graphic and neat. The needles are given in short dark green stitches, the house in a few even lines, and the red band runs as a fine dotted line. There are only five colours in the kit.
