What the picture shows

The figure is seen from behind: her hair is gathered in a high knot, her blouse cream with small polka dots, her skirt raspberry red with wide soft folds spread over the ground. An open book is in her hands. A basket of flowers stands to the left, meadow stems with yellow and pink blooms grow to the right, and a blue and an orange butterfly fly above them. The white canvas stays as the ground, with only a light shadow marked under the skirt. Twenty floss colours, 36 m. The folds of the skirt use four shades of red, from almost black in the depths to pale on the ridges.
