Cross Stitch Kit "Under sail"
Description
“Under sail” shows a sailing boat with a ginger fox aboard drifting through pastel clouds.
What the picture shows
The hull and sails are worked in brown shades with an open hatching that keeps the wood light. Garlands of small flowers — crimson, pink and yellow — are draped across the sails, and a pink pennant flies from the mast. A fox with closed eyes peers over the side. The background is lilac-pink and mint patches on white canvas that read as clouds or balloons. Nineteen floss colours over 37 m, with some flowers worked in beads. The sails are worked in sparser stitches than the hull, so they feel lighter than the wood of the boat.

A 150×150 mm format, rated simple. The mood is a children's one, so it is often hung above a cot; hoop, frame or moulding are chosen separately and are not in the kit. The flower garlands are best added last: they lie over the sails and set the final rhythm. The pennant on the mast is the smallest detail and is left until the very end.
