“To the moon and back” is a violet galaxy with a crescent moon and a declaration written across it.

What the picture shows

The patch of starry sky forms an uneven circle: deep violet and lilac in the middle, pink towards the edges, with white and gold specks of stars over it. A thin crescent shows on the right and a small rocket with a pink trail below. The words “I love you to the Moon and back” run across the whole patch in script. The white canvas is left clean around it — the contrast with the dark centre holds the composition together. Seventeen floss colours, some stars worked in Preciosa beads. The shift from violet to pink is made with small flecks rather than a clean border, which makes the patch look luminous.
