Description

“Sweet dreams” shows a big cup filled with colourful sweets and a little mouse asleep on top of them.

What the picture shows

A cream cup on a saucer stands against a blue ground; inside and along the rim lie sweets in shiny wrappers — red, blue, green, yellow and pink. A grey and pink mouse sleeps on top in a red and white cap with a pompom, its head on a small pillow. A striped Christmas stocking and a tiny candlestick with a lit candle hang from the handle, a green bow is stitched on the side of the cup, and two more sweets lie on the saucer. The blue Aida serves as the background, scattered with white stitches of falling snow. Twenty floss colours go almost entirely into the sweets, the cap and the half-tones on the china. The drawing fills nearly the whole circle and leaves only the corners of the square canvas free.
