“Spring Tenderness” is a small garden bouquet in lilac and pink on a canvas bag.

What the picture shows

The bouquet is loosely gathered, as if just picked: lilac and violet flowers with wavy petals, pink bellflowers, small white blooms and green leaves on thin stems. The colours shade into one another gradually — that is what the 31 thread colours are for. The bag’s fabric stays open between the flowers, which keeps the bouquet light and airy. The petals gain depth from a shift between pale lilac and violet, and the stems are worked as single-stitch lines. The thread length is 67 m.
