Description

“Spring saffron” shows an old kerosene lantern among crocuses and orange flowers.

What the picture shows

The lantern stands in the centre: grey-blue metal, a glass shade with highlights and a carrying ring on top. Violet crocuses with yellow centres grow at its base, with orange and terracotta flowers and narrow leaves beside them. Small buds are scattered around the edges of the composition. The coffee canvas is left unstitched and reads as early spring earth. Nineteen floss colours, 32 m. The glass of the shade is conveyed by pale vertical stitches set more sparsely than the metal of the body.
