“Shine from the starlight” shows white daisies and golden ears of grain on a night ground.

What the picture shows

The bouquet rises from the lower edge: white flowers with yellow centres, small buds and tall grain heads worked in gold metallic thread. Silvery stems and leaves hold the composition together, and small stars are scattered over the black field above. The black canvas is left unstitched and works as night sky. Eleven floss colours over 54 m, of which 16 m is silver and 16 m gold metallic thread — that is where the shine comes from. The grain heads use longer stitches than the flowers, so the gold falls in continuous lines and catches the light better.
