“Neon glitter” is a large flower with translucent petals glowing on a navy ground.

What the picture shows

The petals open wide and almost reach the edges; each is worked in fine bands — turquoise, lemon, crimson and lilac — so they look lit from within. Closer to the centre the colours deepen into red and violet. White and pale specks are scattered around the flower, some of them worked in Preciosa beads. The navy canvas is left unstitched and works as night. Nineteen floss colours, 33 m of thread. The bands in the petals run from the centre to the edge, so the flower looks three-dimensional without any blending.
