“Mau-sit-sit-1” shows an emerald green beetle with open wings.

What the picture shows

The shell is worked in green and emerald with a gold outline; round dark turquoise and violet patches are laid out symmetrically over it like set stones, and a large pale drop glows in the middle. Blue-grey wings with fine veining spread out from under the shell on both sides, lighter than the body and seemingly half-transparent. The head is small with two curved antennae, and the six legs are set wide apart. In the photo faceted crystals sit at the centre of the beetle and on its shell — the data for this kit does not list them. Fifteen floss colours carry the shift from lime to deep blue. The background is not stitched: in the photo it is dark navy fabric, on which the green of the shell glows. The beetle is laid out symmetrically, so the motif reads almost like a piece of jewellery.
