Description

“Golden bee-1” shows a bee with transparent wings spread wide.

What the picture shows

The body is worked in broad bands of golden yellow, dark brown and almost black, and two large wings spread out from it on both sides. The wings are pale blue-grey with fine specks and clear veins, growing darker towards the body. The head is round with a pair of thin antennae, and the legs are slender and splayed, so the bee looks as if it has just landed on the fabric. In the photo several faceted crystals sit in the wings and gold beads run along the body — the data for this kit does not list them. Sixteen floss colours are split between the warm gold of the body and the cool silver of the wings. The background is not stitched: in the photo it is turquoise linen.
