“Glory to Ukraine!” shows a trident in a shield among viburnum and ears of wheat.

What the picture shows

A shield outlined in dark thread stands in the centre with a trident inside it, the trident itself filled blue at the top and gold at the bottom. Stylised flowers and grain are scattered on either side: blue in the upper corners, golden ochre in the lower ones. The words “Слава Україні” are stitched above the shield in a small counted alphabet. The white canvas is left open and works as a clean ground on which the graphics read clearly. Three floss colours. The outline of the shield is a single continuous line, while the trident inside is filled with solid patches in two colours.

A 150×150 mm piece, simple and quick: few colours and no transitions. The decorative hoop is already in the kit, so the piece can go on the wall at once; a frame is chosen separately. Start with the outline: once the frame of the shield is in place, the fill inside cannot go astray. The wheat and flowers at the sides are added after the shield so its symmetry is not disturbed.
