“Foxy” shows a ginger fox with a wooden mug sitting among autumn flowers.

What the picture shows

The fox sits facing you, holding the mug in both paws, its tail stretched forward; the fur is worked in orange and terracotta with a white chest. Large flowers are scattered around it — pink, crimson and mustard — along with thin sprigs of small leaves. The light yellow canvas is not stitched over, so the whole bouquet seems to hang in warm air. Twelve floss colours, plenty of even fills and few fine transitions. The tail is worked a shade lighter than the back, so it reads separately and does not merge with the body.

A 150×150 mm format with 22.5 m of floss — a few calm evenings of work. Keep the finished piece in the decorative hoop from the kit or take it to a framer; a frame and glass are not included and are chosen separately. It is easiest to start with the fox and add the flowers afterwards: that way the centre of the design stays where it should. The mug in its paws is the only cool detail in a warm palette, so stitch it carefully.
