Description

“Easter day” shows a paska with white icing, painted eggs and pussy willow.

What the picture shows

A tall Easter cake stands in the centre: browned sides, white icing running down in uneven drips and coloured sprinkles on top. Painted eggs lie to the right and left in pink, light blue, yellow and lilac tones, some of them in a woven basket lined with cloth. Willow branches with grey furry buds rise behind. The white canvas is left as a bright ground. Nineteen floss colours, 32 m, with some sprinkles and highlights worked in Preciosa beads. The icing is not an even line but uneven drips of different lengths, and that is what makes the cake look real.
