Cross Stitch Kit "Dance of the leaves"
Description
“Dance of the leaves” is a green rosette of leaves and ferns around a golden centre.
What the picture shows
An open flower with narrow ochre-gold petals and a round green eye sits at the centre. Large leaves radiate from it in four directions: some smooth and rounded, others serrated, others long like fern fronds. The greens run from almost yellow to deep grass, with a few leaves worked in golden beige to break up the mass. Thin curling tendrils are drawn in pale thread. The ecru canvas shows in the gaps. Sixteen floss colours, 115 m. The veins on the leaves are stitched in a lighter thread over the green — the last detail added to the piece.

The design is 300×300 mm, rated average — the longest run of thread in this group. Ecru fabric for the cover is in the kit; the cushion pad is bought separately. The chart carries a SAGA QR code; the symmetry is such that a quarter of the drawing repeats four times. Work from the central flower outwards so the symmetry does not shift.
