Description

“Cozy” shows a red folk house among birds and star-shaped flowers.

What the picture shows

A tall house with a steep roof stands in the centre, covered in a fine geometric pattern, with small windows and a door. An eight-pointed star glows above it, birds with raised tails perch on either side, and two larger dove-like birds sit below. Diamond flowers and rosettes fill the gaps, and a wreath of leaves closes the whole oval. The piece is worked in only four shades of red; the white canvas stays as the ground. Thirty-nine metres of thread. The pattern on the roof and walls of the house uses the smallest elements — that is where the work starts.
