Description

The “Ethno-motive” collar is a detachable accessory worked in counted cross stitch on black canvas.

What the picture shows

The collar is made of two halves that meet at the front. A folk floral ornament is spread over the whole field: red and crimson flowers with yellow centres, small white dots, light green and mint leaves, curving stems. The pattern is mirrored, the left and right halves repeating each other. The black canvas stays as the background, which keeps the colours rich, and a narrow ornamental band runs along the lower edge. The flowers are worked in dense blocks of colour with a clear outline, the leaves in two greens. The kit holds 10 thread colours and 31 m of cotton, so the stitching itself is not long.
