Description

“Bouquet” shows a red fox sitting with an armful of pink flowers.

What the picture shows

The fox is worked in several shades of orange: the back darker, the chest and tail tip almost white, the face pale, the eyes closed as two thin arcs. A bouquet rises on both sides of it — pink and lilac blooms, small white flowers, green leaves and thin stems that fan upwards and out. The design is compact and nearly square, with no background: the stitches lie straight on the fabric, so the colour and texture of the garment itself become part of the picture. Eighteen floss colours are split between the fur and the flowers. In the photo the motif is stitched on the pocket of a white shirt, where the pale fabric works as the ground.
