“An exquisite holiday” is a wreath of oranges, winter flowers and berries on a grey-lilac field.

What the picture shows

The wreath closes into a dense circle: four large oranges are set around it, with white star-flowers, blue blooms, small berries and dark green leaves with clear veins between them. Inside the circle, outlined sprigs are scattered over the canvas in pale thread — they are not filled with colour and stay as a light sketch. The grey canvas shows throughout and adds coolness to the composition. Thirty-nine floss colours, 108 m. The outlined sprigs inside the wreath are stitched last: they need to sit over a field that is already finished.
