Cross Stitch Christmas Stocking Kit "Santa’s Helper"
Description
“Santa’s Helper” is a Christmas stocking with a fawn in a red checked scarf.
What the picture shows
The fawn looks straight at you: russet fur with golden highlights, a dark nose and large eyes. Twigs with red viburnum berries and small flowers rest on its antlers, and a red checked scarf wraps its neck. The ground is a blue winter night with snowflakes and a white moon above, while snow-covered branches with berries rise from below. The top band is reserved for a name — the sample reads “DARYNKA”. The canvas is stitched over completely, so the blue shades of the ground work as a layer of their own rather than as empty cloth. The viburnum berries repeat three times — on the antlers, at the chest and near the lower edge.

The finished embroidery is backed with interlining, the back is cut from white felt, and the ribbon makes the loop and the bow — all of it comes in the kit. The name band at the top lets you make the stocking personal, which is why such pieces are often stitched for children. It hangs on the tree, the fireplace or the back of a chair and needs no further finishing.
