Description

“Witchcraft business” is a witch’s hat in black beads with a violet tassel.

What the picture shows

The hat stands on a wide brim, its pointed crown bending to one side. The crown is worked in black and graphite microbeads, and a violet band of rondelles and bicones runs along the hatband above the brim. Forty-nine bugle beads lie down the crown and give the vertical ribbing that makes the hat look dense. The brim is outlined with ten centimetres of bullion wire in two kinds, and twelve centimetres of decorative wire hold the bent tip. A violet tassel of cotton thread hangs from under the brim — the two hundred centimetres in the kit are meant for it. The kit holds 23 bead colours and the difficulty is above average.
