Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Winter wizard"

“Winter wizard” shows Saint Nicholas with a full white beard surrounded by branches, berries and cones.

What the picture shows

The beard and moustache are worked in large rows of matt white beads, the cap in red, and a wreath of green needles, red berries and copper cones lies around the face. The eyes, nose and cheeks stay printed, so the face keeps its softness. The white ground is almost bare and the circle is trimmed with white beads. The second part of the work is a pale base with a snow-covered cottage with copper-yellow windows among dark firs. The copper cones in the wreath are the only warm patch on all that white.

Both pieces are sewn together with the padding inside and hung on a white ribbon. White on white reads as restrained, so the ornament suits Scandinavian-style decor. The pompoms, cones and the patterned paper in the photo are styling props. The beard is worked in long rows of matt white beads, so it stands out in relief above everything else. The pattern is in colour and printed on the canvas.
