Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Winter time"

“Winter time” is a small winter set: a knitted hat with a pompom and a mitten in one mint-and-white range.

What the picture shows

Both figures are worked the same way: a mint green body, a fluffy white edge at the bottom and a band of light blue and grey beads above the cuff. A white pompom of fine beads sits on top of the hat, and pale vertical rows run down the crown like knitting. The mitten has a set-off thumb and a light snowflake on the palm. Nine colours, all cool — green, light blue, grey and white; there is no warm tone in the piece at all. The beading is dense, so the canvas print shows only along the very edge.

The piece is small and cosy in mood, suited to the run-up to winter. The embroidery is cut out along the outline and mounted as brooches; the pins and backings are chosen separately. The small details — the pompom and the snowflake — are worked last, once the main field is filled and it is clear how much room is left.
