Description
“Winter little goat” shows a white goat with curled horns in folk style on a dark grey ground with flowers and fir trees.
What the picture shows
The design is built like a paper cut-out: a white goat, thin white stems and flowers on graphite. The beads pick out what should glow with colour: green firs on either side, red flowers above and below, a few white dots of snow. The goat itself is untouched by beadwork — it stays printed, and that is what keeps the silhouette crisp. The circle is trimmed with a red rim and hangs on a white ribbon tied in a bow. The thin white stems on the ground remain nothing but print.

Both parts are sewn together, the fiberfill goes inside and a loop is left at the top. Graphite with red and green reads as modern rather than traditional, so the ornament suits restrained decor. The pattern is printed on the canvas in colour and there are five bead colours — the work is meant for beginners. The orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cones and the knitted throw in the photo are styling props.
