Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Viridian"

“Viridian” is a bracelet with a wavy edge worked in emerald, turquoise and gold beads.

What the picture shows

The design is built from long curved feathers spreading from the centre: dark green and malachite shafts, turquoise barbs and golden rows between them. A cluster of faceted stones is gathered at the heart — clear, green and honey-coloured stones of different shapes, the largest of which shimmers in the light. The lower edge is wavy and outlined in deep emerald, so the strip never looks straight. The canvas is covered completely; twenty-six colours give a transition from almost black green to pale turquoise, while the gold works as a thin dividing line. The golden rows never close into a solid line: they run as a dotted trail between the green feathers.

Twenty-six colours and about 1,765 beads on a 154×57 mm strip make this a large piece of work, yet the design is symmetrical and easy to follow while stitching. The clasp is a hook with a chain. The finished bracelet is worn on its own and needs neither a frame nor any extra finishing.
