Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Ursa Major"

Ursa Major is a bear in profile with the constellation laid across its back in silver beads.

What the picture shows

The bear walks to the left, head lowered, paws broad. The whole figure is gathered from deep blue, violet and black beads with small facets — the colour of a night sky. Over it, silver beads mark the seven stars of the dipper and the thin lines between them, so the constellation is read straight off the silhouette. A row of pale beads runs along the contour and separates the animal from the ground. Ten colours. The gaps between rows remain as print on the art canvas. The muzzle and paws are darker than the back, so the figure does not merge into a single blot, and the stars sit exactly as they do in the real constellation.
