“Umbrella” is an open dark violet umbrella with a bunch of flowers on top.

What the picture shows

The canopy is open and divided into panels of dark violet and aubergine beads, with golden rows marking the seams as they run to the tip. A row of rondelles in six kinds runs along the lower rim — it is what makes the edge uneven and alive. A bunch of flowers lies over the umbrella: small lilac, white and green blooms made of sequins in three kinds. The handle curves into a hook, worked in gold beads and ending in a single small bead. The kit holds 20 bead colours. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.

The brooch is assembled on the clasp from the kit; the cards and ribbons in the photograph are styling props. The design is printed straight onto the canvas, so there are no squares to count: the colour you need shows under the needle.
