“The whisper of the muse” is a pair of blue and lilac wings with long silver chains.

What the picture shows

The piece is built from two rounded wings that lie side by side and slightly overlap. Each is worked in blue, lilac and violet microbeads and outlined with a pale row that lifts the shape off the ground. Large clear drops sit inside, set in fine rondelles — they read as the core of each wing. Bugle beads of two kinds run out from the centre like thin veins. A silver chain with a small pendant falls from each wing and swings as you move. The kit holds 24 bead colours. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.
