Description

“Star, shine!” shows a large golden star and a slim crescent on a deep blue night ground with turquoise foliage.

What the picture shows

The star is worked in cream and golden beads: the rays run in rows from the centre, so the light seems to spread towards the edges. The crescent beside it is laid in small beads, and a branch with turquoise leaves and copper berries lies below. The background is a printed night sky with tiny dots of stars and is left open. The circle is trimmed with blue beads and the ribbon is dark grey. The second part of the work is a matching blue circle with a large golden crescent.

The pattern is printed on the canvas.
