Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Snowflake"

Snowflake is an eight-pointed star in blue and white that reads both as a snowflake and as a mandala.

What the picture shows

The rays run out from a centre where an orange-amber stone sits in a setting of blue beads — the only warm spot in the whole piece. A wreath of pale blue faceted beads and blue bugle beads laid as rays surrounds it. Beyond that, large clear navettes with a rainbow sheen alternate with points worked in white and pearl beads, with small green and golden accents hidden between them. The outer edge is toothed, so the silhouette comes out spiky like a real snowflake. Nineteen colours keep the palette within blue, pale blue, white and silver, and the printed scheme holds the colour in the gaps between beads.
