“Small fish” is a pale fish brooch of pearls and crystals with a pink feather tail.

What the picture shows

The fish swims sideways with its dorsal fin raised. The body is filled with white and pearl microbeads, and the scales are marked with pearls of three kinds — set in rows, they give volume without adding colour. A line of silvery bugle beads runs along the back, an arc of fine beads separates the head, and the eye is a single small rondelle. The tail is not beaded but made of pink decorative feathers on a ribbon, so it stays light and moves. The design is printed on the canvas, stitched densely inside the outline, then cut out and assembled.
