Description

Secrets of the heart is a red heart with a rose, held between white wings.

What the picture shows

The composition sits inside a pale diamond with a black border. At its centre is a heart of concentric red and black rings, part target, part cross-section of a tree. Above it lies an open pink-red rose with two green leaves. Wings rise on either side of the heart, worked in white, grey and silver beads; short dark strokes mark the feathers, so the wings do not blur into one patch. Small red rays escape from under them at the top and bottom. Seventeen colours keep the palette within red, black, white and green. The ground inside the diamond is pale, and the gaps between beads remain as print in the same tone.
