“Scandinavian motive” is a hair comb with an amber and gold pattern.

What the picture shows

The embroidered panel is fan-shaped with a toothed upper edge. The pattern is built from mirrored scrolls: dark brown lines outline pale fields worked in sand and cream beads, and golden rows follow the contours. Three amber marquises stand in the centre, with orange drops in golden rims below and to the sides. The canvas is covered completely, and it is the dark outlining that makes the pale areas look carved. Twelve colours, nearly all of them shades of gold, ochre and coffee. The pattern widens towards the top, so in the hair the panel looks like a small tiara. The teeth of the comb are clear and draw no attention.

The 85×55 mm panel is mounted on the clear comb from the kit, which disappears into the hair. Such a comb holds an updo and stays a piece of jewellery at the same time — it is often chosen for weddings and celebrations. The base, the stones and the guide are already in the kit.
