Description

“Quick tit” is a great tit in profile with a yellow breast and a blue-black wing.

What the picture shows

The bird perches leaning slightly forward, its tail raised. The head is black with a large white cheek — the detail by which a great tit is recognised at once. The breast and belly are worked in yellow and gold microbeads with a dark stripe down the middle. The wing is laid in blue, dark blue and black beads in rows that follow the feathers, with pale tips. The tail is long and uses the same blues. Three drops light up the wing, and twenty-four sequins in three kinds are scattered over the breast. Bullion wire in two kinds, sixteen centimetres, outlines the beak and the legs. The kit holds 23 bead colours. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely.
