“Purple wave” is a dark bracelet with a winged pattern and lilac stones at its centre.

What the picture shows

The main field is worked in black and graphite beads that give an almost mirror-like sheen. In the middle a symmetrical shape opens like a pair of spread wings: the outlines are drawn in lilac and violet rows, and large faceted drops in lilac and plum lie inside them. Dark feathery lines of bugle beads laid as rays spread to the sides. The canvas is covered completely, so the bracelet reads as one dark ribbon with only the lilac centre glowing. Twenty colours work mostly in half-tones: the difference between graphite and anthracite shows only at close range. The lilac stones differ in size: the largest stand at the centre, the smaller ones spread towards the tips of the wings.
