Pug is a pug puppy lying with its head on its front paws. A touching and instantly recognisable breed.

What the picture shows

The pug is shown from the front: a large round head, wrinkles on the brow, a dark muzzle and drop ears. The body is laid in golden-beige beads, with slightly darker strands along the back and a lighter chest. Muzzle and ears are black and brown, and the big eyes use amber beads with black pupils. Twelve colours give a smooth move from sand to dark chocolate. The beads lie densely but not solidly: the printed scheme stays between the rows, matched to the colour of the coat. The wrinkles on the face are laid in short dark stitches, and the tongue is a small pink patch; it is these details that make the breed recognisable.
