Owl Kuzya is an owl in a yellow knitted hat with a white pompom. Wintry and childlike in mood.

What the picture shows

The owlet faces the viewer: huge round eyes with amber beads and black pupils, a small beak, and a fluffy breast in brown, cream and ochre beads. On its head is a yellow hat embroidered in horizontal rows that imitate knitting, with a green stripe along the edge. A white fluffy pompom tops the hat. Fourteen colours give a warm combination of yellow, green and brown. The print on the canvas shows between the rows of beads. The wings are folded and only hinted at with darker rows, and the feet are not shown; all the attention falls on the eyes and the hat.
