What the picture shows

The cat is worked in glossy black beads, the cap in red with a white trim and a white bobble, and the scarf is knitted from yellow and pink beads in stripes. The banner on its chest is laid in orange-red beads over the printed lettering. The pink ground carries snow and faint highlights, and the circle is trimmed with a golden rim. The second part of the work uses the same pink ground with the same cat seen from behind.

The two pieces are sewn together with the padding inside and hung on a pale ribbon. Pink with black and gold reads as graphic rather than childish, so the ornament suits a grown-up interior too. The card and kraft bags in the photo are styling props. Glossy black beads need even light while you work, otherwise the rows are hard to see. The pattern is in colour and printed straight on the canvas, with no symbols to check.
