Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Moon date"

“Moon date” shows two black cats on a branch, silhouetted against a pale disc. It has the most beads of all the jewellery pieces in the batch.

What the picture shows

The piece is round. The cats sit side by side, turned to face each other, their silhouettes worked in solid black beads with tails hanging down. A thin black branch with small buds runs beneath them. The ground is pale: white and pearl at the top shading into soft pink towards the edge, with larger pearls and silvery strokes scattered between them like petals. A dense pink border closes the outline. Nine colours and almost no contrast except the black silhouettes themselves.

The piece is round, 70×70 mm. The embroidery is cut out along the circle and mounted as a brooch; the pin and the backing are not part of the kit and are chosen separately. The black silhouettes are worked first: once they are in place, the pale ground is filled freely, guided by the print on the canvas.
