Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Miss Dior"

“Miss Dior” is a brooch shaped like a perfume bottle with a pink bow at its neck.

What the picture shows

The bottle is rectangular with sloped shoulders. The body is worked in pink and raspberry beads, with a silvery border of fine beads along the edge. Lettering is laid in black beads on the pale “label” in the middle. A row of pearls and faceted inserts that read as cut glass lies below it, with pink dots on either side. A satin ribbon is tied in a bow around the neck, and a round stone with a rainbow sheen sits on the cap. Thirteen colours, almost all shades of pink and silver. The pearls in the lower row are larger than the other beads, so the bottom of the bottle looks heavier than the neck, as in real glass.

The piece is vertical and compact. The embroidery is cut out along the outline of the bottle and mounted as a brooch; the ribbon, the pearls, the stones and the pin are chosen separately. The black bead lettering is the finest part of the work: the letters are laid one bead at a time, checked against the print on the canvas.
