Description

“Mirror of the Soul” is an eye brooch in white beads with a blue iris and gold lashes.

What the picture shows

The eye is shown close up and drawn out slightly towards the corners. The white is filled with white and silvery microbeads in even arcs, the iris is built from several shades of blue and the pupil is dark, almost black. A ring of tiny beads around the iris sharpens the gaze. Gold lashes of bugle beads spread up and out from the lid — long, of uneven length, and they set the rhythm of the whole piece. Pearls mark the lower lid and a rondelle the corner of the eye. The kit holds 11 bead colours. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.
