Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Mau-sit-sit"
Description
Mau-sit-sit is a green beetle named after the gemstone of the same colour. The most detailed of the small pieces: twenty colours.
What the picture shows
The beetle is seen from above, with an oval back and legs spread out. The wing cases are filled with emerald and grass-green beads, crossed by golden lines that divide the back into segments. Large turquoise and green faceted stones are sewn at the centre, with an iridescent stone above that changes colour at an angle. Six legs and two antennae are laid in strands of gold and dark red beads, so the silhouette comes out openwork. Print remains on the canvas between the rows. The legs bend in different directions and the antennae differ slightly in length, so the beetle looks alive, as if it had paused for a moment.
