Description

“Little heart” is a red beaded heart with silvery stones around the edge.

What the picture shows

The heart takes the classic shape, slightly domed, with a clear notch at the top. The field is worked in red and dark red microbeads, the rows following the form and meeting at the lower point. Eleven rondelles lie along the outline and separate the heart from the ground with a lighter ring. Five hemispheres of two kinds are set over the right half as highlights, and five leaf stones in two kinds cover the change between the arcs at the top. Eleven Preciosa No. 6 beads add depth along the edge. The kit holds only 9 bead colours and 257 beads, the smallest in this batch. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.

It is fitted with the decorative clasp from the kit; the white jumper in the photograph shows the scale. The finished embroidery is cut out along the outline, the back is closed with a base, and the clasp from the kit is fixed to it.
