Letter C is a golden-amber monogram with an openwork curl inside.

What the picture shows

The letter takes the form of a broad half-circle thickened at the ends. Its body is filled with gold and honey beads laid in rows along the arc, while a lighter curl of small beads runs inside — this is what makes the letter look like a cypher. Amber and topaz faceted stones of different sizes are sewn along the arc. Eleven colours, a warm and even palette. The print on the canvas remains in the gaps between rows and supports the golden tone. The ends of the arc are cut on the slant and slightly widened, so the letter does not look like a simple ring with a gap. The largest stone sits on the outer curve. The inner edge of the arc is worked in lighter beads, and it is this that separates the curl from the main field.
